Ematra Capsule contains Isotretinoin varied, an oral retinoid reserved for severe, nodular, or treatment-resistant acne vulgaris. It is the most effective acne treatment available, capable of achieving long-term or permanent remission in many patients.

How Ematra Capsule Works
Isotretinoin is a vitamin A derivative (13-cis-retinoic acid) that binds nuclear retinoic acid receptors in sebaceous glands, dramatically reducing sebaceous gland size and sebum production. It also normalises follicular keratinisation to prevent comedone formation, reduces C. acnes colonisation, and exerts direct anti-inflammatory effects in the skin.
Dosage & Usage
- Dosage: Prescribed by a dermatologist; dose calculated per kg body weight. Take with fatty food for absorption.
- Precautions: Strictly contraindicated in pregnancy — teratogenic. Women must use two forms of contraception. Regular blood tests required during therapy.
